<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/notes\/2509766795988745\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Francisco Estansilao<\/a> in 1908 in San Fernando, Pampanga, the parol lit the way for Filipinos for their designs. Once electricity was within reach, the brilliant flashing parols found a permanent spot in our annual Filipino Christmas traditions.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  vc_custom_1671189560265\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>In fact, the parol has become so ingrained in our culture that we have several lantern festivals across different locations in the country.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  vc_custom_1671189708124\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>In San Fernando, Pampanga, the birthplace of the parol, there is the Giant Lantern Festival, also known as the Ligligan Parul. It is a deboned chicken stuffed with ground pork, Vienna sausages, gherkins, raisins, and hardboiled eggs.
