ComunitàLarry Itliong è uno dei principali eroi della storia filippino-americana e dei diritti civili. Senza i suoi sforzi, non ci sarebbe stato lo sciopero dell'uva di Delano, né una casa di riposo per i manong (uomini filippini americani anziani), troppo vecchi per il lavoro manuale in America. Non ci sarebbe nemmeno la United Farm Workers Union, fondata con altri eroi filippini, Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta e altri ancora. Ma ci sono anche molti altri filippini che hanno fatto faville negli Stati Uniti, dalle medaglie olimpiche ai soldati di guerra: ecco un elenco di alcuni dei nostri eroi filippini preferiti in America.

Comunità Stile di vitaI filippini fanno da tempo parte del panorama americano e con nomi come Eva Noblezada, Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie e Darren Criss che girano in rete, ora abbiamo persone che raccontano le nostre storie sullo schermo. I filippino-americani hanno persino fatto il giro della politica americana, dando voce ai filippini in America che cercano qualcuno dalla loro parte. Sebbene ci siano già molti elenchi che hanno messo in evidenza le celebrità filippino-americane, abbiamo voluto onorare altri filippini che hanno trovato il successo dopo aver lasciato le Filippine e aver ricominciato come cittadini negli Stati Uniti.
